Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal has launched a new web3 fellowship program with $50,000 of his own capital being invested into ten individuals each year for six months. The program provides an array of benefits to entrepreneurs, including mentorship, a suite of tools for connecting with top founders & investors, and the opportunity to raise funding if a company is started as a result of the fellowship.
Purpose of the Fellowship Program
Nailwal stated that this initiative was created to bring “as many founders into web3 as possible” and also to help people who feel like they’re unable to realize their true potential due to certain obstacles in their lives. He wants people who have been held back from achieving their goals by circumstances outside of their control be able to pursue their dreams without any financial or other concerns holding them back.
Benefits Offered By The Program
The fellowship will provide recipients with $50,000 in funds over six months as well as access to weekly mentorship sessions from Symbolic Capital, access to a suite of tools designed for connecting with top entrepreneurs & investors and the chance to receive additional funding if an individual starts their own business through the fellowship.

Nailwal opened up about his personal struggles when announcing the program. He said he came from a poor family in Jamna-Paar, Delhi and had a tough upbringing that forced him to focus on paying bills instead of pursuing his dreams. However he feels very fortunate now and wants others who are going through similar challenges have the same opportunities he didn’t have when he was younger—to be able follow their passions without worrying about money or other issues holding them back.
